We’re super excited about the swimming pool we’ll be opening for guests sometime in July. We’ve been sharing updates on our Facebook page because we know this will enhance your stays at our resort.
The pool will include a shallow kiddie play area, as well as a deeper portion for us taller kids at heart. Eventually, a pretty new open-air Pavilion will adjoin the pool to serve as shared space that can be transformed into an Event Space for weddings or other group gatherings.
We previously announced that the pool would be open on July 4th weekend. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, that will sadly not be the case. We’re told by the contractor that the pool will be finished sometime during the month of July. We wish we could be more specific, but we know this may impact the timing of someone’s trip to Bluewater and we don’t want to tell you wrong. In any case, there’s still plenty of fun to be had on the waters of Chickamauga Lake, which is a short walk from the Lodge. Whether you want to rent a pontoon boat or try your luck with a guided fishing tour, there are hours and hours of fun to be had at Bluewater.
The pool and pavilion are just part of our ongoing efforts to improve the experience of staying here at Bluewater. We’ve come a long way since developing the new park areas beginning in 2010. These steps have included adding more campsites with full hookups on spacious level concrete pads, replacing old wiring and plumbing, pouring concrete roads, lighting pathways along the shoreline, adding a playground for the kids, adding a bathhouse with a laundry room, a picnic pavilion area, a lakefront fire pit, expanding access to Cable TV and WiFi, remodeling the rental cabins, adding the beautiful new Lodge last year, constructing the new covered Marina, and adding storage space for RVs and boats.
Stay tuned for the announcement on our Facebook Page when the pool is completed and ready for our guests to make a splash! We’ll also announce it on a future newsletter, so make sure you are signed up to receive these eBlasts.
